Those who listen will detect the soul of Mowtown, R&B rhythm, the blues, a taste of old-time rock n’ roll and the honest lyric of a well-written country song. “Gale House Story Book” the new CD gives an entertaining and in-depth look into Spady’s life, still a bit of the “helpless romantic” It’ll make you laugh a little and cry a little about the different chapters of your own life. This CD covers a lot of musical ground from the soulful R&B number “What About You” [ala early Al Green] to the old roots rock piece “The Sinners Prayer” [reminiscent of the early Band Records]. A personal diary of feelings, a book on love and life, and what happens emotionally in the midst of life just happening. For closer look at what lives behind the walls of Gale House, what makes it beat, this CD might be a good place to start.
